Today a new publication appeared, not about ants but other arthropods associated with ants. It is from the Belgian province Limburg, part the Voer, just under The Netherlands, province Limburg... and along Germany.

The title;

Recently I found the website of the University of Leiden, The Netherlands. Looked up if they did some work on Formicidae. No! They did wel research about some groups close by Formicidae.

One sprang out! Work by Reemer, M. about Microdontinae, Syrphidae from 2012. All they know about Microdontinae komes from 5 specles of the holarctic. This is a review with a lot of impact.
