Golden Oldies: Teleutomyrmex

My fascination for ants began in 1983, now 32 years ago, with the books “Sociobiology: The New Synthesis.” and “The Insect Societies” from E. O. Wilson. It was not until 1985 that socially parasitic ants started to get my attention and, yes, they are already a very long time my big favorites, especially the genus Teleutomyrmex (or ex-genus…) with her ectoparasitic character. That year, 1985, I did roam the libraries in my neighborhood to find the important “articles” about that genus and copy them. These copies are still in the center of my library. The four articles and one little book are:
Later a second species was described:
Tinaut, A., 1990, “Teleutomyrmex kutteri, spec. nov. A new species from Sierra Nevada (Granada, Spain).” Spixiana 13: p. 201-208.
Most of us know the first two articles, the little book and the last article.
Kutter, 1950 and Stumper, 1951 are already a long time online:

http://antcat.org/documents/2950/2777.pdf
Tinaut, 1990 is also a long time available online:
http://antcat.org/documents/3074/2878.pdf
In February this year, the NGZH Naturforschende Gesellschaft in Zürich did put Kutter’s 1969 book online (for some the first time they got the occasion to read it!):
http://www.ngzh.ch/media/njb/Neujahrsbl ... H_1969.pdf
And now, the ETH-Bibliothek Zurich, the library of the ETH Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule in Zürich, is putting the articles of the Mitteilungen der Schweizerischen Entomologischen Gessellschaft, on the request of the SEG, online, including already the series of four articles mentioned above. We all know Kutter’s description and Stumper’s natural history notes but now everybody can also read Brun’s description of the central nervous system of the queen and Gösswald’s anatomical and histological description of the queen… In total it are 100 pages, 68 pages now for the first time online.
